Daniel Ogier

Daniel was born in 1808 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place in 1808.^1 2   His godfather was Daniel Trachy and his godmother was Rachel Le Poidevan (wife of Daniel Trachy).  Daniel's father was Jean Ogier and his mother was Marie (Mary) Trachi.  His paternal grandparents were Jean Ogier and Catherine Ogier; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Trachy and Rachel Mahy. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Jean, Thomas, Pierre, Marie, Rachel, Elizabeth, Marthe, Judith and Catherine.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.
