Marie Ogier

Marie was born on December 19th, 1796 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and her baptism took place on December 28th, 1796 in The parish church of St. Sampson.¹² Her godfather was Daniel Bichard and her godmother was Catherine Ogier. Marie's father was Jean Ogier and her mother was Marie (Mary) Trachi. Her paternal grandparents were Jean Ogier and Catherine Ogier; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Trachy and Rachel Mahy. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Jean, Thomas, Daniel, Pierre, Rachel, Elizabeth, Marthe, Judith and Catherine. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 67 on February 20th, 1864 in Guernsey, Channel Islands.¹
