Peter (Pierre) Ogier

Peter, known as Pierre, was born on August 27th, 1814 in Le Pierce, Guernsey and his baptism took place on August 31st, 1814 in St Sampson - Baptism register.¹   His godfather was Daniel Thachy jnr and his godmother was Rachel de Poidevan (wife of Daniel Trachy).

  Parents were living at Le Pierce, Guernsey, at the time of Pierre's birth.

Pierre's father was Jean Ogier and his mother was Marie (Mary) Trachi.  His paternal grandparents were Jean Ogier and Catherine Ogier; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Trachy and Rachel Mahy. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Jean, Thomas, Daniel, Marie, Rachel, Elizabeth, Marthe, Judith and Catherine.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 56 in 1870.
