Jean Ogier

Jean was born on March 27th, 1757 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place on March 27th, 1757 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   His godfather was Thomas Ogier and his godmother was Marthe (his wife).  Jean's father was Jean Ogier and his mother was Catherine Ogier.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas des Landesm Ogier and Marquerite Nant. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Pierre, Judith and Catherine.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 67 in 1824.¹
