Agnes' father was James Tonge (aka Mather) and her mother was Janet Hepburn.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Tonge and Agnes Wane. She had a brother and a sister, named James and Margaret.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, James, Joseph, Agnes and Mary.  She died in 1881 in Pendleton.
