Agnes was born in 1881 in Pendleton and her baptism took place on February 23rd, 1881 in Charlestown.1  Agnes' father was James Tonge (aka Mather) and her mother was Janet Hepburn.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Tonge and Agnes Wane. She had a brother and a sister, named James and Margaret.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, James, Joseph, Agnes and Mary.  She died in 1881 in Pendleton.
