Alfred Ramsden

Alfred's father was William Ramsden and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Hamer.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Matty Ramsden.  John Nelson and Sarah Ramsden were his grandparents through his father's adoption. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, James, William, Fred, Ernest, Martha, Sarah, Emma, Alice and Alice.  He was the third youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 67 on December 6th, 1939 in Turton.² 

‌Alfred and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on July 8th, 1897 at St. Anne (Turton).²   They had a daughter named Auriol.
