Job's father was Job Openshaw Snr and his mother was Nancy Beswick. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Openshaw and Catherine (Cassandra) Haslam; his maternal grandparents were James Beswick and Alice Booth. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, Jonathan, William, Jane, Alice, Sarah, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the sixth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 52 on April 12th, 1908 in Utah (UT). His burial was in Utah (UT).²
