Douglas Mercer

Douglas was born in 1879 in Birkenhead.¹

Douglas' father was John Robert Mercer and his mother was Emily Anne Herring. His paternal grandparents were George Mercer and Mary Dutton. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Herbert, Sidney, Ernest, William, Lil, Florence and Eda. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 49 in 1928 in Birkenhead.²
