George Mercer 
George was born in June 1828 in West Derby and his baptism took place on June 28th, 1828 at St. Peter (Liverpool) conducted by minister Charles Thomas Gladwin.1 George's father was Charles Forbes Mercer and his mother was Hannah Hallen. His paternal grandparents were Robert Mercer and Hanna Swift. He had a brother named Robert. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 38 in 1866 in Liverpool. He was buried on March 31st, 1866 at the Walton Park Cemetary.1 1 Death Notes

George and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on April 14th, 1850 at St. Peter (Liverpool) witnessed by Joseph Dutton (brother) and Mary Leyland.1 They had five sons and two daughters, named John, George, William, Joseph, Thomas, Hannah and Sarah. There are no more children.
