Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in August 1832 in Withnell.¹

Thomas' father was Richard Mather and his mother was Ann Marsden. His paternal grandparents were Robert Mather and Peggy Duerden. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Miles, Charlotte, Margaret, Betty and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 18 on September 1st, 1850 in Halliwell. His burial was in September 1850 at St. Mary (Deane).²

General Notes
- Between 1841 and 1851, Thomas had left home and probably died.
  
  In Sept 1850, Thomas son of Richard died, aged 18, and is buried at Deane. There are no marriages that match, so perhaps it was a shot-gun-wedding that went wrong!
