Sarah Mather

Sarah was born on February 23rd, 1831 in Tottington and her baptism took place on March 21st, 1832 at Edgworth Independent.¹

  There is another baptism 27-Feb-1833 for Sarah, daughter of Mary Haslam, a Maid Servant at Farnworth. This could be the Sarah with implied mother Mary Haslam present in 1871?

Sarah's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Mary Rostron. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Alice Entwistle. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Alice, Martha, Mary, Martha and Jane. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 60 on April 20th, 1891 in Quarlton.²
