Martha Mather

Martha was born in December 1833 in Edgworth and her baptism took place on September 4th, 1834.¹

Martha's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Mary Rostron.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Alice Entwistle. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Richard, Alice, Sarah, Mary, Martha and Jane.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 5 in December 1838 in Quarlton.  She was buried on December 20th, 1838 at St. Anne (Turton).²
