Richard Mather

Richard was born on October 3rd, 1829 in Atherton and his baptism took place on December 13th, 1829 in Chowbent.¹²

Richard's father was John Mather and his mother was Mary Harrison. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Ellen Green. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Thomas, John, Betty, Mary, Jane, Ellen and Ann. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 70 on October 3rd, 1899 in Tyldesley.³
