Thomas Mather

Thomas was born on March 13th, 1824 in Atherton and his baptism took place on March 2nd, 1824 in Chowbent.¹

Thomas' father was John Mather and his mother was Mary Harrison. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Ellen Green. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, John, Richard, Betty, Mary, Jane, Ellen and Ann. He was the sixth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 65 in September 1889 in Tyldesley.²
