Samuel was a Weaver, and also shown as a pauper in 1794 on Jane's baptism, although not later on son Samuel's.
Samuel & Ellen married at Leigh. had baprisms at Atherton, and burials at Deane.
In 1799, Samuel's wife Ellen died. Samuel does not appear to have remarried.
