Ralph Mather

Ralph was born in September 1833 in Bolton and his baptism took place on September 29th, 1833 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Ralph's father was James Mather and his mother was Catharine Chandler. His paternal grandparents were Ralph Mather and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Thomas, John, William, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Consumption, at the age of 31 in March 1865 in Hulme (near Manchester). His burial was on March 29th, 1865 in Hulme (near Manchester).³

  Ralph Mather, painter, died in Hulme, Manchester of consumption.
