Peggy's father was Henry Mather and her mother was Betty Keele. She had three brothers named John, James and Henry.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Joseph, Sarah, Sally, Ann and Mary.  She died in June 1786 in Pennington.  She was buried on June 25th, 1786 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).¹
