James is possibly the son of Henry Mather of Pennington, born 1797.
James was from the town of Manchester when he married Ann (a widow) in Manchster Cathederal.
James was a Non-Conformist, having his son Joseph baptised at Tildsley Chapel.
1802-1812, baptims records show William, Alice, Ellen and Mary were probably born at Penington, Westleigh
James and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on December 21st, 1795 at Manchester Cathedral.2 They had a son and three daughters, named William, Alice, Ellen and Mary. The family line is yet to be completed.
