Mary Jane Mather

Mary was born in 1849 in Withnell.¹

Birth Notes

Mary's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Margaret Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Yates and Mary Mather. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, Joseph, George, John, Ralph, Lucy, Sarah and Susannah. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 12 in 1861 in Brindle.²
