John Edward

John was born in 1865 in Withnell.¹

Birth Notes

John's father was Ralph Mather and his mother was Margaret Smith. His paternal grandparents were Edward Yates and Mary Mather. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, Joseph, George, Ralph, Lucy, Mary, Sarah and Susannah. He was the second youngest of the nine children.
