Mary was born in December 1837 in Manchester.¹

Birth Notes

Mary's father was Jeffery Mather and her mother was Martha Mather. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Isabella Anderson; her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Benet. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, George, Frances and Martha. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 2 in December 1839 in Manchester.¹
