Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in February 1784 in Tyldesley and his baptism took place on February 21st, 1784 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Leigh).¹²

  Thomas, son of Jeffery & Mary Mather of Tyldesley

Thomas' father was Jeffery Mather and his mother was Mary Hampson. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Whittle. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Hannah, Elizabeth and Ann. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 76 in March 1860 in Manchester.³
