Martha Mather

Martha was born in July 1812 in Tyldesley and her baptism took place there on July 4th, 1812 conducted by minister George Richardson.^1 2

Martha's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Benet.  Her paternal grandparents were Jeffery Mather and Mary Hampson. She had a brother named John.  She was the older of the two children.

‌Martha and Jeffery were married in a religious ceremony on November 13th, 1836 at Manchester Cathedral.³   They had two sons and three daughters, named Thomas, George, Mary, Frances and Martha.  There are no more children.
