Mary Mather

Mary was born in December 1855 in Bolton.¹

Mary's father was John Mather and her mother was Elizabeth Coop.  Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Farrand. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, James, George, Alice and Ellen.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 15 in January 1871 in Bolton.  She was buried on January 15th, 1871 at St. Mary (Deane).²
