John Mather

John was born in December 1786 in Middleton and his baptism took place on January 10th, 1787 at St. Leonard (Middleton).¹

John's father was James Mather and his mother was Alice Collinge. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Luke, Moses, David, Leah, Sarah and Lucy. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 32 in February 1819 in Middleton. His burial was on February 13th, 1819 at St. Leonard (Middleton).²

General Notes
- 31 Dec 1808, John of Manchester Town, spinner may have married Hannah Shaw (if its this John born 1787 and buried at Cadishead, Metropolitan Borough of Salford, aged 40).
  
  It is far more likely John Married Sally Tong at Middleton 22 Oct 1806. This John was a Taylor, as were all the family!
