Lucy Mather

Lucy was born in 1812 in Middleton and her baptism took place on May 10th, 1812 at St. Leonard (Middleton).¹

Lucy's father was John Mather and her mother was Sally Tong. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Alice Collinge. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Ashton, Charles, Henry, Betty and Rachel. She was the fourth oldest of the six children.
