Rachel Mather

Rachel was born in 1810 in Middleton and her baptism took place on May 6th, 1810 at St. Leonard (Middleton).¹

Rachel's father was John Mather and her mother was Sally Tong. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Alice Collinge. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Ashton, Charles, Henry, Betty and Lucy. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 27 in March 1837 in Middleton. Her burial was on March 10th, 1837 at St. Leonard (Middleton).²
