James William Mather

James was born in June 1861 in Eagley.¹

James' father was William Mather and his mother was Alice Cooper. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Betty Barns. He had three brothers and a sister, named Herbert, Walter, Harold and Ada. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 44 in March 1906 in Sharples. His burial was on March 3rd, 1906 at Christ Church, Walmsley.²
