      SOLOMON MATHER who departed this life on the 27th May 1890, Aged 90 years.  Also of BETTY the beloved wife of Solomon Mather who departed this life on the 20th April 1870, aged 67 years.
Betty was born in 1803 in Little Bolton.1  She died at the age of 67 on April 20th, 1870 in Astley Bridge.  She was buried on April 25th, 1870 at Christ Church, Walmsley.2 3

‌Betty and Solomon were married in a religious ceremony on December 11th, 1825 at St. Peter's (Bolton).5  They had two sons and two daughters, named William, Thomas, Ann and Jane.  There are no more children.
