Walter Mather

Walter was born in December 1857 in Eagley.¹

Walter's father was William Mather and his mother was Alice Cooper. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Betty Barns. He had three brothers and a sister, named Herbert, James, Harold and Ada. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 58 in May 1916 in Sharples. His burial was on May 5th, 1916 at Christ Church, Walmsley.²
