James Mather

James was born in 1833 in Over Darwen.¹

Birth Notes
- Aged 8 in 1841, Higher Pole Lane, Darwen
  Aged 22 in 1855 from Over Darwen when married

James' father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Phoebe (Feby) Duxbury. His paternal grandparents were William (Will) Mather and Betty Beswick. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Nancy and Rachel. He was the fourth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 59 on April 1st, 1892 in Darwen.
