Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in 1830 in Darwen.¹

Thomas' father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Phoebe (Feby) Duxbury. His paternal grandparents were William (Will) Mather and Betty Beswick. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, John, James, Nancy and Rachel. He was the third oldest of the six children.

  In 1851, Thomas (20) and John Mather (30) were lodgers at 46 Mile End, Blackburn
