Elizabeth's father was James Chadwick Mather and her mother was Sarah Charlton.  Her paternal grandparents were Francis Mather and Elizabeth Chadwick. She had five brothers and a sister, named John, Sarah, Francis, James, Thomas and Ann.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 84 on December 21st, 1921.
