Betty Mather

Betty was born in 1794 in Worsley.

  Betty is assumed to have been born after James and died an infant before she was baptised. 

Betty's father was Ellis Mather and her mother was Ann Thornley.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund (Edwin) Mather and Mary <unknown>. She had nine brothers and two sisters, named James, William, John, Ellis, Thomas, Peter, Charles, David, Moses, Alice and Betty.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.  She died in March 1794 in Worsley.  She was buried on March 21st, 1794 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles).¹
