Ann Mather

Ann was born in July 1850 in Westhoughton and her baptism took place on October 6th, 1850 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).¹²

Ann's father was William Mather and her mother was Margaret Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Geffrey (Jeffery) Mather and Catherine Gregory. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Edward, Geoffrey, William, Geoffrey, Catherine, Ann and Margaret. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children. She died as an infant at 4 months old in November 1850 in Westhoughton. She was buried on November 7th, 1850 in Westgate Chapel (Wesleyan).³¹
