Hugh Makinson

Hugh was born in July 1815 in Blackrod and his baptism took place there on July 9th, 1815.¹

Birth Notes

Hugh's father was James Makinson and his mother was Betty Mather. His maternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Nicholas, George, George, Richard, Mary, Ann, Elizabeth and Alice. He was the second oldest of the ten children.
