Sarah was born on November 16th, 1828 in Harthill.1  Sarah's father was William Lea and her mother was Jane Stubbs. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Thomas, Charles, Sarah, Frances, Mina, Emma, Anne and Jane.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named William.  She died at the age of 55 on February 21st, 1884 in Victoria (Au).  She was buried in February 1884 in Victoria (Au).

‌Sarah and George were married in a religious ceremony on October 7th, 1857 at All Saints, Harthill.2  They had five sons and two daughters, named William, Charles, Harry, George, John, Jane and Mary.  There are no more children.
