Jane's father was William Lea and her mother was Jane Stubbs. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Thomas, Charles, Sarah, Frances, Mina, Emma, Sarah and Anne.  She was the third youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named William.  She died at the age of 1 in March 1835 in Harthill.  She was buried on March 24th, 1835 in Harthill.¹
