May was born on September 23rd, 1902 in Birkenhead and her christening took place on February 22nd, 1903 at St. Michael All Angels (Claughton).1 2  May's father was James (Jim) Judge and her mother was Ellen Ann Timmis.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Judge and Fanny Elliot; her maternal grandparents were Richard Timmis Jnr and Lydia Woodward. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Tom, Willie, Annie, Nellie and Lillie.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died due to heart disease at the age of 89 on October 15th, 1991 in Birkenhead.  The funeral took place on October 22nd, 1991 at the Landican Cemetery and was arranged by Charles Stevens.  She was cremated on October 22nd, 1991 at the Landican Cemetery.3 3

‌May and Eric were married in a religious ceremony in 1946 in Somerset.5  There are no children.
