William Henry Isherwood

William's father was Jonathan Isherwood and his mother was Ann Mather. His paternal grandparents were Henry Isherwood and Jane Holt; his maternal grandparents were James Mather and Rachel Hamer. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Jane, Rachel, Margaret, Sarah and Nancy. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 3 in January 1846 in Edgworth.¹
