  There is also a Samuel baptised 23 Dec 1804, son of Charles & Mary Hopley.

Samuel's father was Robert Hopley and his mother was Margaret Richards. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Catherine Lewis; his maternal grandparents were Richard Richards and Anne Phythian. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Thomas, William, Anne, Margaret, Margaret and Jane. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 on April 18th, 1887 in Wrexham. His burial was on April 22nd, 1887 in Penycae.²³
