In the administration of probate, it is clear that Robert is the brother of Thomas, the Brewer in Toxteth Park.
In 1841, Robert Hopley (50) was at Handley Calvey Hall (7 miles North of Shocklach) with Ann (50) his wife or sister, and several other Hopleys. This was Robert Hopley-Dod
In 1851, Robert (59) was a visitor of Thomas and Margaret Moyle at Ebnal, Malpas, He was "Proprietor of House".
Robert, a gentleman's servant, died at Ebnal in 1853
