Maria (Mary) Hopley

Maria, known as Mary, was born in August 1794 in Bickley and her baptism took place in August 1794 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹

Mary's father was Joseph Hopley and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Perry.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Cicely (Cecilla) Johnson. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named George, John, George, Joseph, Hannah, Cecily, Cecily, Elizabeth, Anne, Mary and Martha.  She died at the age of 13 in May 1808 in Bickley.  She was buried on March 5th, 1808 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).²
