Cecily was born in 1800 in Bickley and her baptism took place on October 29th, 1800 in Malpas.¹

Cecily's father was Joseph Hopley and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Perry.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Cicely (Cecilla) Johnson. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named George, John, George, Joseph, Mary, Hannah, Cecily, Elizabeth, Anne, Mary and Martha.  She died at the age of 1 in 1801 in Bickley.  She was buried on April 13th, 1801 in Malpas.²
