George Hopley

George was born in 1791 in Bickley and his baptism took place on October 9th, 1791 in Malpas.¹

George's father was Joseph Hopley and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Perry.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Cicely (Cecilla) Johnson. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named John, George, Joseph, Mary, Hannah, Cecily, Cecily, Elizabeth, Anne, Mary and Martha.  He died at the age of 10 in April 1801 in Bickley.  He was buried on April 26th, 1801 in Malpas.
