Elizabeth Farnworth

Elizabeth was born in September 1867 in Farnworth and her baptism took place on August 11th, 1867 at St. John the Evangelist (Failsworth).¹²

Elizabeth's father was Moses Farnworth and her mother was Betsy Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Hugh Mather and Alice Crompton. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, James, Abraham, Robert, Alice, Mary, Ada and Jane. She was the second oldest of the nine known children.
