Mary was born in 1837 in Wrexham.  Mary's father was John Eddowes and her mother was Mary Whitfield.  Her paternal grandparents were John Eddowes and Elizabeth Jones; her maternal grandparents were John Whitfield and Mary Tomlinson. She had six brothers and four sisters, named George, Edwin, Thomas, John, William, Matthew, Elizabeth, Mary, Esther and Lydia.  She died at the age of 2 in December 1839 in Wrexham.  Her burial was on December 14th, 1839 in Brymbo.1
