WARNING: This is another John and Mary Eddowes family, from Wrexham, also a Maltster when married at Brymbo, but about 10y younger: And another John Eddowes of the same age, born Wrexham, a Wheelwright in 1851 at Worsley, Lancashire.
In 1841, John and his father Thomas were Maltsters and on his marriage record and also a Maltster on the 1851 census (at Manchester).
In 1861, John and Mary were at 23 Chorlton Street, London Road, Manchester. He was now an Agricultural labourer.
John died in 1871. The death was registered at Chorlton which is where wife Mary was on the 1871 census.
