Thomas was born in February 1851 in Manchester.1  Thomas' father was John Eddowes and his mother was Mary Thomas.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddowes and Charlotte Morris. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Eliza, John, George, Emma, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Mary and Eliza.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.

‌Thomas and Louisa were married in a religious ceremony on June 9th, 1878 in Manchester.3   They had two sons and a daughter, named William, Edwin and Phoebe.  The family line is yet to be completed.
