Hannah was born on January 4th, 1858 in Chorlton (Lancs) and her baptism took place on January 17th, 1858 in Ardwick.1 2  Hannah's father was James Eddowes and her mother was Martha Beardow.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddowes and Martha Jones. She had a brother and three sisters, named James, Mary, Alice and Emma.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had four half-sisters named Martha, Emily, Florence and Martha.  She died at the age of 63 in January 1921 in Prestwich.1

‌Hannah and James were married in a religious ceremony on July 5th, 1876 at St. Silas, Ardwick. They had three sons and four daughters, named James, Richard, Ernest, Martha, Hannah, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.  There are no more children.
